Bunbury Mazda | About Us

Established in May 1970 by Barry Rewell Snr at 49 Spencer St, hence the name Bunbury Mazda, an independent used car dealer specialising in pre-owned cars that were not usually available in Bunbury.

Names like Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, BMW, Rover, Fairlane, Statesman, Sandman vans, Monaro, GT falcons, charger, xu1 and Torana. This yard was a big success with pre-owned cars coming from all over the state. Many new car dealers sold their trade-ins to Barry Rewell. New fiat and Daihatsu vehicles came later.

A move to Blair St came later along with the Mazda franchise and workshop facilities.

Over the years later the front park owned by the City of Bunbury was purchased and also the adjoining land was purchased due to the huge demand of the Mazda brand. A fantastic new showroom was built in 2010 to help with the expanding Mazda range.

Bunbury Mazda is now the oldest original Mazda dealer in WA. It’s a family business owned by Barry Rewell Snr, his wife Kaye and son Barry Rewell Jnr. This business supports lots of sporting clubs in the area and prides itself on great service, fair dealing and supporting the community and our long-time customers.
